Religious Tolerance Activities

Many communities around the country are calling for activities to promote religious tolerance and inter-faith understanding. Here are just a few.

Some Jewish congregations will be reading from the Quran and Gospels as well as the Torah on Shabbat Shuvah, the Sabbath between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. See “Reading from books that some would burn.”

September 10

Vigil at Park51 in New York City, 7:15 p.m. on September 10 called by NY Neighbors for American Values.

September 11

“Unity and Commemoration” gathering in Lafayette Park in Washington, DC on September 11 , from 6 to 9 p.m.

September 12
